Abbey Hill Steam Rally

Friday 1st - Monday 4th May 2026

Get ready to relive history and experience the power of vintage machinery at the Abbey Hill Steam Rally. Held at the picturesque Yeovil Showground, surrounded by the rolling hills of Dorset, this annual event takes place over the May Day bank holiday weekend, from Friday 01 to Monday 04 May. It offers a unique opportunity to admire a long line of beautifully restored steam engines and explore rows of vintage tractors and vehicles dating back to the early 20th century. The sound of the steam whistles and the sight of these majestic machines in motion will transport you back in time.

In addition to the main attraction, visitors can also enjoy a variety of other activities such as live music, delicious food stalls and a fun-filled fairground. With over 100 trade stands selling a variety of goods from household items and plants to toys and jewellery, there's something for everyone. The entertainment programme includes ring events, live bands and singers in the Beer Tent, and in the evening the fun continues with more entertainment in the marquee and the fairground stays open late.

The gates open at 8:00 am and with ample parking and facilities, it's a perfect family day out. Don't miss your chance to witness history in motion and make memories that will last a lifetime.

CLASSICS AT PRESCOTT' HILL CLIMB EVENT 9th & 10th MAY 2025

Winchcombe Rotary Club invites classic car owners to our iconic event at the Bugatti Club which is open to all vehicles over 25 years old.

Sunday 10th will be devoted to driving the famous hill, with passengers if you wish, in marshalled but un-timed runs which eliminate the need for crash helmets and the full gamut of safety equipment etc. However, vehicles must be road legal i.e., taxed and insured. A Paddock entry of £75 per vehicle covers 2 runs up the hill, all passengers and a souvenir programme. Entries are limited to 200 cars.

Spectators are very welcome – entry remains at £20 per car to include all passengers.

ImageOur static display in a designated area for classic, vintage and special vehicles will also be evident. We feel this significantly enhances the presentation of the superb range of vehicles expected. A Static entry of £25 per car, covers all passengers and a souvenir programme. Block bookings by Clubs will be particularly welcome and we'll endeavour to park such groups together.

Another Cotswold Tour on Saturday 9th starts near Prescott and covers approximately 70 miles of the country's finest scenery. It will visit a suitable venue en route to take in refreshment and enable you to meet fellow tourers. Entry of £30 covers the tour and a souvenir Tour brochure.

The FCC (Four Counties Classic) will continue to meet on the first and third Saturdays of every month in 2025:

The FCC (Four Counties Classic) is a free gathering for all pre-1990 classic cars.

The gatherings take place from 9am to noon on the first and third Saturdays of every month throughout the year at The Bletchingley Arms, 2 High St, Bletchingley, Surrey RH1 4PE

For those who need sustenance, The Bletchingley Arms serves breakfast between 9.30am and 10.30am.

The event is a static gathering in the midst of some wonderful driving roads though the scenic North Downs. When the weather was kind, prior to the lock-downs we often had as many as 130 cars in attendance. One reason for the success of the gathering is its geographical location close to the borders between four counties. We have regular members who come from Surrey, Greater London, Kent and Sussex. There are probably more classic cars in these four counties than anywhere else in the country (and therefore the world).
