Showcasing some of the finest classic aircraft and vehicles in the UK, Wallop Wheels and Wings, takes place at the Army Flying Museum and the Army Air Corps airfield in Middle Wallop on 2 July 2022.
is a free gathering for all pre-1990 classic cars. The gatherings take place from 9am to noon on the first and third Saturdays of every month throughout the year at the Bletchingley Arms. The event is a static gathering in the midst of some some wonderful driving roads though the scenic North Downs. When the weather is kind we often have as many as 130 cars in attendance. One reason for the success of the gathering is its geographical location close to the borders between four counties. We have regular members who come from Surrey, Greater London, Kent and Sussex. There are probably more classic cars in these four counties than anywhere else in the country - if not the world. Classic Vehicle Show - Michelham Priory, East Sussex, 10minutes from Eastbourne.
The stunning grounds of Michelham Priory provide a beautiful venue for a display of more than 100 classic cars. Vehicles on display show the evolution of motoring from the early "horseless carriages" to the recent classics. There really is something for everyone.
This event is a very relaxed village green affair. You need to turn up by 1.00 p.m. in order not to run people over who will be participating in the walking parade. It starts to thin out by 4.00 p.m. It is a real family affair and dogs are welcomed and normally there is a dog show that you can enter on the day (assuming that you have a dog). There are stalls and displays and all the other things that you would expect. It really is a nice afternoon out.
