The Four Counties Classic (FCC)
is a free gathering for all pre-1990 classic cars. The gatherings take place from 9am to noon on the first and third Saturdays of every month throughout the year at the Bletchingley Arms.
The event is a static gathering in the midst of some some wonderful driving roads though the scenic North Downs. When the weather is kind we often have as many as 130 cars in attendance. One reason for the success of the gathering is its geographical location close to the borders between four counties. We have regular members who come from Surrey, Greater London, Kent and Sussex. There are probably more classic cars in these four counties than anywhere else in the country - if not the world.

BOSTON CLASSIC CAR CLUB'S 30th ANNUAL SHOW
Frampton Lane, Boston, PE20 3, United Kingdom
Sunday 14th August is a date to get into your diary, it's Boston Classic Car Club's 30th Annual Classic Vehicle Show, which returns to their new venue at Hubberts Bridge, just outside of Boston, Lincs. A very popular friendly event which attracts visitors from all over the country. Once again we very pleased that the lovely Sarah Crabtree has agreed to join us on the day, she was very popular last year and took time to chat and have 'selfies' with people, also we have the excellent local band, 'Betty Swallox' performing live, which went down with visitors last year, despite the weather we had later in the day. We had almost 500 vehicles on display last year, and once again there will be NO CHARGE to exhibit your 'pride and joy', plus there are several trophies up for grabs, if that's your thing. We will have trade stands, autojumble, charity stalls, outside bar, food & refreshments. Entry forms for exhibitors (individuals/clubs), traders and food outlets etc., are available to download from our website www.bostonclassiccarclub.org.ukLast year we had a couple of problems with parking, but it was our first year at the new venue, these should be sorted for this year, but despite this, the feedback was very good and encouraging. Public admission prices are; Adults £5 per person, children under 14 years are FREE. Free public car parking. Please get your entries in as soon as possible, it makes it easier for the organisers. Look forward to seeing you all in August. Please share this post. Many Thanks. |

"RESTORED VETERANS LAUNCH DORCHESTER BUS RALLY
Sunday 14th August 2022 – 10am-4pm – Dorchester, Top o' Town car park – 7th annual running day – West Country Historic Omnibus and Transport Trust (WHOTT).
Two remarkable veteran survivors which have not seen light of day for many years will be unveiled by the Mayor of Dorchester Cllr Janet Hewitt in the morning of 14th August. The historic coach was delivered new to an Exeter company in 1938 and operated on the Isles of Scilly from 1952. It entered preservation in 1971 and passed to the West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust (WHOTT) in 2009 with whom it has been subject to a 13-year long restoration project. The restoration team will be on hand to guide visitors through its work. Its sister 1939 bus was new to Bournemouth Corporation, passed to the Civil Defence Authority and to Poole & District Model Railway Society, and has just been restored to original condition. Another first this year will be a model steam engine.
The Dorchester rally site has a café and toilets and is a ten minute walk from the two railway stations. Direct trains from London and Bristol.
Top o' Town car park is the site of the former Bere Regis & District headquarters, bus garage and main works.
Morning free bus services will run to Dorchester from some main centres. For routes and pickup times please see our facebook page or website or call Robert Crawley as below.
Anyone who shares the aims of WHOTT is invited to become a member. Further details can be found on our website www.busmuseum.org.uk, facebook @WHOTTbusmuseum or from our chairman Robert Crawley, telephone 01395-567795, mobile 07974-567756, or from the sales stand on the day."

The Four Counties Classic (FCC) is a free gathering for all pre-1990 classic cars. Contact the organiser Ian by email at xkeidp@gmail.com or check out the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/293498068486846/ |
